WITS 2009-01-01 . chapter 1 Okay, I haven't read this story before, and from the summary, this is probably one of those wierd fics involving new, author-made senshi that usually suck. But, I've skimmed over the reveiws, and there don't seem to be any problems, so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. Heck, I always give these things the benefit of the doubt. It's not like I can really say anything- in my spare time I like to work on a group of senshi I've been making myself that I'm never, ever going to actually use because I suck at writing chaptered stories, let alone chaptered Sailor Moon stories.
Putting the off-topic discussion aside and six feet under, this seems to be pretty good. A couple of tiny mistakes that seem to be just careless errors: 'Ginzuisho' (when it should be 'Ginzuishou', but that's really just nit-picking, which I excel at :p), 'naïveté' (which is really wierd, I think you meant just naivete, or maybe naivety, I checked the Fanfic dict., but of course it just have both, so I'm not actually sure, but meh, whatever), 'want' (which I think should be 'wand'), and etc etc etc.
It also has some originality, I think. I've never seen anyone try this sort of thing- y'know, the Selenity scene. Personally , I like it. Also, normally, I wouldn't like so must detail in a prologue, but here, the details add mood. I especially like the ending for some reason, where you said the wand slipped from her fingers and she never heard it drop. It just seemed so wonderfully...final. So far, I could definitely say I like it, and shall be watching for the further (edited) chapters.
P.S. On a side note, can you tell me if the actual Sailor Moon characters will show up? I'll still read if they don't, but I've always loved the Rei-Usagi interaction, as well as Minako's slapstick humor, so yeah. I don't see anything that shows that they'll be in here, except as a 'Sailor V'-type hero-worship thing, so...just a comfirmation. Anyways, looking forward to the next chapter, in which I shall write a review just as long just to annoy the authors like I always do! |
