Alright, I realize that I'm wayy behind all of your other reviewers and they would never get this message anyway...BUT i think it's ridiculous that you would have to put up with flames, like how the hell would they know what elrond's truly like, have they met him? I'm sorry but flamers just ** me off(excuse my language ^^;) i happen to like this story very much though I'm only on chapter three! :P

Just to hammer the point home– you are kidding yourself. This same story has been written over and over with minor variations and over for years.

Look, if you ARE determined to write an angsty, screwed-up character, why not make her a different KIND of screwed-up? Like having her get involved in crime and/or substance abuse? That's perfectly realistic– and yet, I've never seen that done. Not ever. Just an endless parade of self-pitying wrist-slashers*.

It's not just that people write Victim!Sues, it's that they're all exact carbon copies of each other.

Oh, and I'm not trying to promote crime and drug-addiction either– I'm just saying, at least it would be a change.

Actually, this is a Mary Sue. The plot is exactly the same as several thousand others featuring snivelling Victim!Sues who fall into Middle-earth. It's completely generic. Experto crede.

I know you say in your note that you "take suicide seriously" and "know more about it than you ever will"– but you know what? I don't believe you. Anyone can say that. Besides, the way you're writing this shows, no matter what you say, that you really think it's cool. That's pathetic. If by some remote chance you're telling the truth– and really have slashed your wrists or whatever– then you're doubly pathetic for STILL thinking it's cool.

Suicide and self-harm are not cool. They are not something to admire. They are the sign of a sick person. Not a heroine.

I hate the fact that popular culture portrays damaging yourself as romantic. It's got a lot to answer for.

Here's a suggestion: you want to be really different? To write a story that is really unlike the rest? Try having a strong main strong character who stands up to adversity. That'll be one of the most original fan-fics ever.

very good, but yes, un elflike, elfs would never jog, unless they were Elladan or Elrohir, and you did fet their characters right, that's how they always are, carefree, reckless, crazy, like elflings
