Wow! I am deeply touched by this story about the link between Elrond and his lost brother Elros. Your exquisite writing showed that his brother is, in fact, not lost, but lives through his descendents. And the bonding between Elrond and Estel is cute. What a great idea to make it occurr because the ressemblance Estel bore to Elros is trigging some lost memories. Are you a twin? Because I am and I recognized myself in the musings of Elrond. What you made Elros say to Elrond is so true. Elrond will never be alone (wich is a deep fear most twins bore in their heart). It is a different type of immortality from thus of the Elves but one nonetheless.

Per coincidence, I am moving to live with my boyfriend and I will be separated from my twin for the first time in my life, wich is difficult in spite of all the good things coming from this move. Your story conforted me in my belief that my twin and I will never cease to be together, albeith in other ways.

Hi. Just came across your story this morning and wanted to let you know how much I liked it. It was a little different take on the ususal little Estel stories, and I especially liked his interaction with Lord Elrond and the subsequent effect on Elrond. Nicely done.

Beautiful story. I especially loved the echoes of Elros in it; there's a sense of depth and emotion in the story not present in many young-Estel tales ... and, of course, the interaction between the little one and the Master of Imladris was very sweet. =)
