Wow that was very, very nice :) One of the things that I have always found intriguing about a Sanzo/Hakkai pairing is how intensely emotional things can get between the two and this little fic of yours really did show this aspect quite well, just like other well-written 38 stories I've stumbled across. I like the symbolism used around Hakkai's eye and the last sentence at the end.
"Hakkai’s lips tasted sweet. This betrayal tasted sweet. And all the bitter contentment of this instant was sealed by the coldness of an unseeing eye." *sighs as she re-reads this* wow I'm so impressed :) Well done for writing this piece.

Heavy, dark and sweet, I like the feeling you put into this fic. Although I'm not into dark stuff, your fic had a prettiness to it that I enjoyed very much. Nice job.
