A very interesting and certainly plausible theory. Though, I think this version of Itachi is... too noble for my taste. I like him evil. But this was fun to read, I do so love to hear diferent views on him, cause really no one can say for sure whats actualy going on in his mind, cept for maybe Kishimoto XD

Excellent work. I haven't yet found out the real reason about why Itachi did what he did (haven't been keeping up with Naruto as much), but this sounds good, too. I enjoyed reading it.

This is a very good idea, it seems you thought it through very hard. I too have considered ideas like this, and others, to try and explain why he killed the entire clan, with the exception of Sasuke.

But I'm not so sure this works. If Itachi was afraid of Orochimaru getting his family's power, why wouldn't he just kill Orochimaru, instead of his family? That would make more sense.
Unless, you go the rout of "Itachi is insane" then any type of "logic" he comes up with will work. Because he's crazy. :D

But anyway, nice fic. You have mad writing skilz, I wish I could write as well as you do. :)
