Virgin in a brothel 2008-06-17 . chapter 1That was brilliant, I don't even know what a lemming is!
I just thought that after reading you're 'Ascot to Brighton', and deciding that you are a highly talented writer I should try some of you're other work, and it has to said you did not disapoint!

Bluebottle Jupiter 2006-05-09 . chapter 1Wow! This story really shows how the Lemming feels! It's amazing! I loved the way that the Lemming telling the story kept mentioning the fact that they do not feel like they matter to us, and that they're not meant to have feelings. It really got to me. This is brilliant! (adds to favourites) |
Mizamour 2006-04-07 . chapter 1Wow... wonderful fic! Beautifully written, and great perspective! |
The Dark 2005-05-21 . chapter 1Darn those stupid lemmings! The days still haunt my mind when we had to play levels for our grade in computer class.
On the lighter side: good story. I thoroughly enjoyed it! |
 Ilvinaeda 2005-04-22 . chapter 1Interesting...and intriguing.
The funny thing is, most people rarely give a thought to the little Lemmings...because, like you said, they are but pixelated creatures existing only to serve...
But do they have the capacity to feel? And if so, how would they feel? What would they say...?
I really feel for the blockers in the game. Since there is no free way to get them un-stuck, we have to blow them up most times to let the other Lemmings through. I'm sure that they do feel something, though...and even as they are about to die, at least one must be thinking, "Is this really what we are reduced to...?"
I'm sure, and convinced, that if the game gave them a way to communicate with us, it would be so much easier...but since that is not the case, we have to resort to the simplest form of control available...even if it means sacrificing a few lives to save others.
This piece really touched me. And please...give the poor blocker a requiem...or at least a moment of silence. The one mentioned...as well as the other thousands that have been obliterated by their various commanders...because the worst way to die is to be blown to pieces, and not die instantaneously. And I'm sure that it's happened to some of them...it's not a pretty sight.
Great work. ^_^ Please do more! |
The Eromancer 2004-09-24 . chapter 1I'm smiling... but still I'm speachless... THAT WAS BEAUTIFUL MAN! |
The Canadian Ninja 2004-07-05 . chapter 1Wow. Just wow. This has to be one of the best fics I've read in a long time. An interesting example of independence in monotony. |
Frank Chao 2004-05-11 . chapter 1 Hm...interesting, comparing human brutality and sadistic nature to a Lemming's gaming session. However, keep in mind that there are far more brutal games out there where you can be even more of a sickening S.O.B. Namely, Soldier of Fortune, Deus Ex: Invisble War, Wild 9 and so on. All I'm trying to say is, compared to today's gaming, Lemmings walking off a cliff would seem very merciful.
Aside from that, good job. The haunting repitition sounded like a poem. |
DarkmoonFlute288 2004-05-10 . chapter 1How strangely... beautiful. I think this had a unique viewpoint that very few could ever grasp on their own. Now whenever I play video games, I'm going to end up treating the characters as though they are real, whether they once were or not. >__ |
Swiftman 2004-05-10 . chapter 1Who knew lemmings could think like that? Humans are so cruel to those little pixels... *sniff*
I'll never blow up another lemming. |
Teacher on Toast 2004-05-08 . chapter 1Yeh, the original Lemmings does still exist (here in England it does, anyway). It's so addictive! There are other versions, too, like Lemmings Paintball. |
Jim 2004-05-07 . chapter 1 Well I must give you points for originality. This has to be the first ever Lemmings fics that I have ever read in my life. I remembered playing this game back in the early 90's, does it still exist (in a new version perhaps)? Anyway, cute little fic, who would ever thought that one of those little guys had so much to say. |
