  Firalyn Tiatra 2006-04-09 . chapter 7Okay, I read this a long time ago when I first started using but never left a review about it. Which is kind of sad, considering that I loved it enough to immediately add it to my favorites list...I don't know if it was because it took me awhile to figure out how the site worked with reviews and such or what, but I'm leaving one now. Anyway, I just wanted to let you that I loved this story...as you could have guessed by now, I suppose.
First, the way you incorporated so many of the different characters was totally cool, even though it was a prominently Fuu/Ferio story. Emeraude and Zagato, Hikaru as Ferio's partner and adopted sister, Lantis as another cop and Hikaru's interest (I love that pairing!), Ascot as Fuu's little brother, Umi as the semi-forgotten girlfriend of Ascot...even Hikari as incentive for Hikaru's desire for a pet-friendly apartment! I mean, wow...and even with all the characters, you didn't add them frivolously or lose sight of the main pairing. Yep, I definitely liked that.
And then your descriptions were really good, too; you kept the characters...well, in character! The brother-sister relationship between Emeraude and Ferio was so incredibly sweet! I'm a total sucker for that kind of thing, I guess. Overall, though, you were really good with describing what was happening, or where it was happening. You were so detailed throughout the story, and they were quite true to MKR itself. Like at the end when Ferio noticed the resemblence between Zagato and Lantis, wondering if they might be related. Or when Fuu mentioned Ascot's blue-haired girlfriend whose name she couldn't remember.
Your portrayal of Fuu's healing magic was pretty cool, too. In some fics I've read the author didn't pull of the magical angle of the story so well, but you did it quite nicely. My favorite part of the story, though, was probably Fuu's reaction when she realized it was Ferio in her kitchen, not Zagato; I just had to laugh there. The swearing was good emphasis, even though swearing is actually a pet peeve of mine...I suppose it only added to the effect. And then when she tried to run away again, and Ferio shut the door on her...you did an awesome job, what else can I say?
Last thing...there's nothign wrong with liking happy endings in my mind. I can hardly imagine torturing Ferio like that without restoring fuu to him...that'd be so sad!
Anyway, just wanted to express my feelings of this story, after reading back over it for the fifth time or so *grin* Your RK story "Things Left Unsaid" is also really good...a bit iffy for me 'cause I'm pretty conservative in the whole physical contact realm, but still well-written. So yeah...I hope you enjoyed this, and I'll be watching for any new stories or updates! |
| ArtemisMoon 2006-01-15 . chapter 7 Yes, you ARE a very sappy person, LOL...I'm glad you can be honest with yourself. But sappy isn't a bad thing! Because that was a very cute story and I enjoyed reading it very much. ^_^
I started looking around at Magic Knight Rayearth fanfiction just a few days ago, and so far this is only the second well put together F/F story I've found. Hopefully there are others out there, because I think that they are a very cute pair!
