GovernorDerek 2008-08-22 . chapter 24lol iceman you got burned! ROFL!
and storm, Nice job on sening the so-called know-it-all back to his hole. :)
and I Hope for this Fic to have a happy ending, eva doesn't need a dark ending cause its already dark enough, thats just my thoughts on the matter,
anyway I also wanted to say don't push yourself, too hard, or you might burn yourself out and make bad chapters on accident. |
Stormofdragons 2008-08-08 . chapter 3Thanks for those of you who have left good and bad reviews for this fic over the years. At the same time I'm writing this review, I'm working on finishing the 3rd season, AND doing some re-writing of THIS story. (fixing some typos, and working on chapter 1 so that Shinji's OOC isn't so bad) Unfortunately a family, career, website management ) and MMORPG (FFXI, Alexander Server, Arrnaren) dont leave me with much time. Gomen Nasai. orz
And Iceman2K7... Dude, I just banned you from reviewing me and PMing me. I'm so tired of you. Has it really only been 6 months since you first sent me a PM about how I got something wrong because you read the truth about it on a fansite somewhere, that you never cited?
IF!! IF you were right about even ONE of your nit-picking little gripes to me in any of my stories in this review or ANY of the 4+ PM's you sent me, I wouldn't think you were some 13 year old primary school dropout who's blaming his messed up life on his condition.
Take some responsibility, write with consideration, and do the dang research. Listen and learn before you talk. Things on the Internet aren't always true, and anime companies, like Gainax, seeking to milk the crap out of a 10 year old anime, often contradict themselves in "official" publications. (see the first gundam TV series, and then the MOVIE version. They dont end the same)
As to this, your final gripe that I'm ever going to see from you. I don't recall EVER mentioning what kind of VTOL they were using in chapter 3, merely that they were UN VTOLs. In MY mind when I wrote the story, I was picturing the standard jet powered VTOL we see through-out the series. And I'm sure that almost everyone else who read this did too. At no point have I claimed that these were the tilt rotar V-22 Osprey, and, in point of fact, I talk about the whine of their engines, not the thump of their props, WHICH, if you had any experience at all with the V-22 you'd know how loud they are. I have never seen any reference material stating that the VTOL in the NGE tv series are really up-converted V-22.
So, until you provide me with real proof, not something your addled mind has invented, you can stuff it up your hidey-hole.
Oh, oops, wait, I just banned you from contacting me. Dang, it looks like you wont be able to send me that proof even if you DO find it.
~Storm
PS. Telling someone they're wrong because the MANGA says "xyz" doesn't make you right, it just makes you a TROLL and an IDIOT who fails to understand that someone MIGHT not be using the MANGA as their source material. (I plainly state in the Disclaimer that I only own anything except the DVD's. So Bite me!)
PPS. For the rest of you, I beg your pardon at this brief interruption. You may now return to flaming, praising, questioning, and encouraging. The Goal I have is that re-written chapters should start coming every so often after 1, October 2008, and I might even include some FANSERVICE in the form of Side Story chapters to fill in some of the missing time. |
iceman2k7 2008-07-30 . chapter 3The VTOLs that Shinji and Asuka pilot are actally called V-22 Osprey, created by Bell Helicopters and used by the United States Marine Corp and the United States Air Force. |
GovernorDerek 2008-04-22 . chapter 1One of the Best |
Sailor Star Dust 1 2007-08-05 . chapter 1Cute chapter so far, though I didn't get why S&A acted sarcastic to eachother at first. Stress of returning, I guess?
So they don't remember anything from Pre-Instrumentality or do they? |
GeneralDragon 2007-01-28 . chapter 14Just putting in a book mark. Great so far. Keep up the great work, and i'll keep on reading. |
jcmoorehead 2007-01-03 . chapter 24Just read through all of this and loved every bit of it a brilliant and emotional story and one of the best i've ever read. I love the way you handled both Shinji and Asuka's character and think they were both fairly in character especially considering what had happened.
Can't wait to start reading Season 3. |
Forever Rahhel 2006-03-26 . chapter 24Yeah they R finally together.
Nice job. |
thereallyunrealbadtwin 2006-02-03 . chapter 10Wow. Deep doesn't even begin to cover it. I'm only on this chapter and I just can't wait to read more. I absolutely positively love this story. And nothing will get in my way of loving it. |

Dar Sel'La 2005-11-03 . chapter 24Good stuff. Just about to start in on season 3, but wanted to leave a review on this one. I liked the dream Auska had with thier kids in it, that was pretty cool. I shudder to think what is going to happen to whats her name when Auska runs across her, but really, for the most part, she has it comming. Not rape, because he did consent...after a fasion, but not that far off either. I think I will stop on that one before going off compleatly. Different topic. The Cherubim, I gather, due to thier lighter mass and smaller size, are manuverable enough to dodge more effectively than your typical Eva, because not being able to generate an AT field is going to be a serious detriment to thier survivability in close quarters. I do like the Positron Minigun, that is a stroke of genious. Well, looks like I am on to the next season. |
OUBWIUBGPPPINSOJNONOICNFSOIN 2005-10-31 . chapter 21This is a good story. I like it. I has a... dramatic 'something' that makes it fun to read.
Good work!
Cheerio,

GaiaSolaris 2005-06-13 . chapter 1This was a really good read, and I liked how you handled all the characters and events after EOE. Nice one :) |
Isamu 2005-06-13 . chapter 24Not a bad fic, not a bad fic at all. I’ve been thinking of doing a “Second Season” story in one capacity or another for awhile. While I plan on going a slightly different route, I liked the one you took.
The story had a really good pace to it, skipping ahead as the story needed and not lingering unnecessarily at any one point. Also, when the next breed of Angels showed up was just such wonderfully bad timing, it was perfect. While the action didn’t pick up for a bit, it was good when it did. The use of a different sub-species of Angels as the new antagonists was an interesting move (though I’d think that the heavenly host might involve themselves a bit more at some point...), as well as how they’ve begun to attack in numbers (something that would have been really cool to see in the series). However, now that they’re off the prophesies found in the Dead Sea Scrolls, this could be a long battle with no end in sight. On that note, I do find it hard to believe that no members of Seele have returned yet, and if they have, why haven’t they moved against Shinji. I know I’d be bitter about my long term plans being monkey wrenched by some 15-year-old, and more then bitter enough to return from Instrumentality to spoil his day. I mean, come on, being foiled by someone whose voice probably hasn’t broken yet, oh yeah lots of bitter...
Anyway, one of the few real critiques I have with this fic was some of the early OOCness. While you did cover your basses on that with how Shinji has just returned from saving all of humanity, it still seemed to kinda jar with me. Shinji’s big shift in personality was kinda hard to swallow at first, and how he knew how to drive a motorcycle. That was just weird. But since it again made for some interesting moments, it’s all good. Also, Asuka running off like she did, while I can see how well it worked for the story, seemed to fit badly with the progress she was making at become a more, stable, person. While not out of character for her, even with the progress she made, the level of reaction was extreme. However, what happened to her afterwards was a good read, so it’s forgivable.
One last thing, I hope that Gendo Awakens. I think it would be a real test of pretty much everything that’s happened if Gendo showed up in the next season. Last person to awaken or something. But I’m a Gendo fan, so my opinion on that is probably the minority.
EVAluation: Good solid continuation with lots of room to grow. Look to be planned, but I can’t see what the long term goal is (besides the “defeat the Legion” one). If there is no long term goal, this could be a weakness, but it does give a lot of room for more story. Since there’s no need to rush, I’m happy to sit back and see where it goes.
Rating: (Whole ‘Season’): 8/10. What felt like a rough start is to blame for not getting a higher score on. I’m looking forward to seeing how Season 3 goes.
Advise: Well, at this point there’s not much I can say about this chapter, but I’d watch the typing (some typo’s here and there) and remember the other human threats that might still be out there for our hero’s. Humanity seems far too cheerful (except for that one city in Russia). I know we haven’t seen the whole world, but all in all, far too cheerful, even with the better understanding.
This FY sazs: I liked it, a somewhat hopeful view of life after 3I, except for the new group of giant monsters of course. But what the hell, it gives folks something to do!
Water and Shade all.
P.S. Now are these alleged lemon side stories out yet, and if so where could one find them? |
