Great story, love the descriptions, love the angst and love how you left the ending vague so it's up to the individual's own perception!

SnowCrash 2001-02-11 ch 1,	abuseThis is really fantastic. I love the Caesar comparision...and it sounds like old Zack has taken a trip back to Manticore...and done the impossible--escape--again. I love the "cold and achingly black" line. Despite you saying "I have no idea where this came from" I think you should fill out the entire scenario. This is the first time that I've done this, but I have to. Sequel!

Aw...stupid computer crashed and totally set me behind. So...with that said, I love this. I KNEW IT!!! Did I call it, or what? You totally excell at angst. Ha! I was right!!!! okay...concentrating on you, now So many things I love about this piece, it has a wonderful and unique insight, beautifully executed. It's hard enough to make it "ORIGINAL" but to carry it out "WONDERFULLY"? GEEZ, babe! I can't believe it. Great imagery, a good mix of internal and external 'happenings.' I LOVE THIS. I love it so much that this review is the most enthusiastic one I have ever left. I don't care what anyone says, this was wonderful. I know that Pooh_Bah thinks so, and she's hard to please...(heh, you know I luv ya, PB) Okay, I'll pick my jaw up off the floor and wait for some more wonderful fics from you. Erin29 2001-01-24 ch 1,	abuseWow, great fic if you like angst (I do in case you're wondering), but I've got a question. Does Zack kill Logan or Lydecker? Both have somewhat spikey hair, but I think only Logan has cerulean blue eyes. I haven't actually looked at Lydecker's before, so I wouldn't know his eye color. If someone could email me with a response (if one is deamed necessary) I'd be much appreciative. Wonderful story Starlight! :)

PoohBah 2001-01-23 ch 1,	abuse:::THUD::: <Picks self up from floor.> I'm an absolute sucker for Zack angst, but this takes the cake. "Really depressing" doesn't begin to describe it. I'm so glad bk requested angst from you--bet it wouldn't ever have occurred to you to do angst otherwise, and then where would we all be? (A much happier place, I reckon, but . . . ) I love the idea of Zack not wanting to die all alone. I've never thought of that, but it fits him so perfectly, in an odd, self-contradictory way, that spark of humanity that he tries so hard to hide. And having him take Logan with him--oh, it's just cruel, but so marvelously angsty, how you turned the tables like that. Even though it took my completely by surprise, it made absolute sense: of course the not-dying-alone thing wasn't about a completely human desire for the comfort of another human, but about taking as many hostile soldiers with him as he could. It's just so absolutely Zack, the way it turned out. Wonderful work. Had me crying two paragraphs in, and left me breathless when it was done. Definitely one to print out and squirrel away.
