Man, it even made me cry. Just a little, though. The last few sentences were a bit cheezy, but that's not what I'm going to remember about this fic. What I will remember is that it showed Heero dealing with emotions in a Heero- like way. He stayed in character, which I think people have a hard time accomplishing when they put him into emotional situations; they either go overboard, or make him a rock. So-- very well done.

The situation sort of reminds me of Flannery O'Connor's "The Lame Shall Enter First." But Heero's a better father than the one in that story. I can tell that you put thought into your work-- that it's very contrived-- through the repitition. It's very subtle, but good.

Damn me for liking this couple for what they could be and what they are, and damn me for reading fanfics in the first place. Oh Andrea, this tale made me feel something again, but I shouldn't be so surprised since your writing always does. I would love to hate what happened to Relena and Heero and Adrian but I can't, because it rings a thread to real life and to whose who may be experiencing the same situation. Your story made me cry, and I thank you.

I read this first in blissfulignorance.com...I've particularly enjoyed your "SB:An Apartment" but its also surprising to see that you are not bad at drama or angst as you classify this. I have this idea that authors usually specialize at one or two particular type/style of writing. It will be interesting what the second part will be.
