Excellent companion piece to the sequence/episode. Nice, kinetic narrative choice. By concentrating so much on his sense memories - as ever meaningful use of details - you made it vivid and tangible and delievered the action and feeing and need powerfully. The expansion from the sense memories to his emotions was nicely handled. I liked the bittersweetness of the final paragraphs as this Jake as he is is lost.
