That was very, very enjoyable, even though I haven't read Pratchett or Eddings. Heck, I considered myself lucky to have found a copy of LotR.
'Throttle-me-and-throw-me-in' is definitely unique. The dialogue is snappy and interesting, without seeming TOO out of place in the Tolkien universe.
Of course we all know that they can't be going on about swords and dooms and high fates EVERY single day...

Anyhow, loved. I commend you. Any hope for a companion piece?

This is probably on of the most refreshing and original LotR stories I've read recently. As someone who also writes mainly about OCs, I found this highly enjoyable.
