I love the way you portray Miss Parker and Sam's relationship in this. They've been working together for so long, it's only natural that they be friends. It's a nice little addition to both characters and helps to flesh them out a bit more than the show ever did.
You did both characters justice.
I liked the first-person past narrative you used. Normally that can be a tricky thing to use (Just look at any of my first-person stuff!), but you didn't make it stumble at all. It flowed exquisitely.

Very nice. I love how you have been able to see so much potential in the character Sam, and use many of your fanfics to delve deeper into his psyche. This one, like the others, was well done and well written. Glad to see you back in action, RRP, and you will continue to be one of my favorite fanfic authors!

Now (this is an order too) continue writign some fics like this to bump up the number of MP/S fics out there... How I *love* fanfics that take me by surprise-- without disclaiming "AU" or ignoring even that while boldly transgressing characterization.
This commits neither affront-- it is a GREAT little fic which *chastely* goes to a place rarely visited in these fanfic pages. WE know there's a time and place for the Ice Queen, and WE know about the woman behind the mask. I'm so glad "he" does, too.
I have *never* begged for another installment (and I am not doing so now), but it seems to me that you could write a second, equally short, fic in which these characters resume their professional roles. (Good heavens, I'm professoring you! Please forgive me. I just turned in my grades day before yesterday...)
