Ah, I remember this lesson! (Back in world history.) I was dying to write something about the same topic (or it may have been a different empire? My memory is shady, but I remember the Christian boys taken to the palace as slaves to become... Janissaries? Something like that) but I never got around to actually writing something. Finding this story makes me insanely gleeful. I felt the same when I discovered Sparta. You make my not-so-latent history nerd very happy.

This story is amazing! The detail and research into this is some of the best I have seen in all of the stories I have read.

wah! T_T you managed to make me cry.. I was howling like a retard back here... my eyes leaking with tears. Chapter 14 was incredibly heart wrenching when Naruto told Ino and Sakura that he's willing to accept his punishment... and now... Kyuubi died and Naruto called her mama. T_T so.. sad *sniff*
