Your choice of words, the way you weave the story, takes my breath away in a similar fashion to the way Sanzo's breath was stolen from him in the story. However, the end leaves me with a sense of peace, the blind panic having been conquered. In a couple pages of well-chosen words, you portray not just the bond between two people that have been together since the day they first met, but the closeness of two companions, two friends.

It was a wonderful, short piece. I absolutely love it.

Very moving. I found myself holding my breath while reading this and didn't realize it til I was done and started to breathe again. Funny, huh? Yes, this DID beg to be written and I'm glad you did. I really enjoy stories about these two. I don't know of to many other characters who so clearly belong together. Thanks for sharing with us and I can only hope your own nightmares will be soothed as well.
