Dear, it wouldn't ruin anything to reveal the pairings early on, as long as the fic is well-written and the plot is interesting enough. I myself usually don't read fanfics if the pairings aren't made known immediately. There is after all a certain feeling of being shortchanged when a fic takes a turn you didn't want it to [ie. a pairing you didn't want].

So be nice and inform your readers beforehand.

Not much to say except Naruto could have made it easier on himself and created a couple of shadow clones to finish painting those rocks...then again, there probably wouldnt be any need for Hinata to come and lend her assistance.
