It's too bad that the Superman comics have turned to such crap over the past decade, because you really should have read some of the good ones with the background information on Krypton. Maybe your local comics shop can help you find some old issues worth picking up? But in the meantime, considering that Krypton is in another solar system entirely (NOT galaxy; a galaxy is a massive collection of stars -- look it up), I doubt that they would use such things as the same year-numbering system that's not even common to all nations on this planet. Details are part of the fun of being a writer.

CLARK'S MOTHER IS *LARA* NOT *LAURA*! Laura is LANA's mother. That's a pretty GLARING error to make! (Also, Jor-El is Jor-El II, his father was Jor-El I; the only other Kal-El in the family is the founder of the El family, hence Clark being the one named as the child of prophesy; and Krypton exploded around the year 10,0 Kryptonian.)

Don't get me wrong, I *really* like your idea of having Clark and Jor-El accidentally switching places through time. It's very intriguing, and could be *very* cool if you handled it according to Superman canon. Instead, you have Krypton just like Earth.

And didn't you learn from "Back to the Future" that you're not supposed to tell your mother who you are in case it results in you never being conceived?

and read up on what Krypton was like before it went bang, because if Clark was on the REAL Krypton (as Jerry and Joe wrote it), he'd be a much more distressed (and interesting) fish out of water, struggling to understand a completely foreign society where people learn a-la "The Matrix" by uploading knowledge directly (like in the caves!), and pregnancy has been replaced by artificial wombs (which explains Jor-El's fascination with Grandpa Kent's wife).

Now THAT would be worth reading.
