This is very good! I love your portrayals of both characters, and the development of Aziraphale especially is interesting, as he becomes more understanding of humanity (and of Crowley) over time. It would be cool to see how Crowley develops too, since here we're only getting A's perspective. I'd like to see how Crowley becomes less hateful/angsty/bitter or whatever he was in the beginning.
In any case, the evolution is fascinating and really well done. Congrats!

You really should have had Wilde overhear Crowley call Aziraphale 'angel.' :D I could just see the sudden interest on his face...

I know this is an old story, but yes, I believe in Willy Hughes.

An amusing cameo indeed. Poor, ignorant Aziraphale... ^.~

Hi there. I've no idea if you were planning on continuing this story, but even if you aren't, I'd like to ask for permission to archive it. I'm currently putting together a Good Omens archive (http://destined.to/theflamingbentley). It's definitely still in the baby stages, but I think it'll look much nicer once it has a bit more bulk to it ;) I've had your story on my favorites list for quite a while and I really do like it. If you're interested, you can get ahold of me at domlooksreallygoodineyeliner@ :)

Oscar Wilde hitting on Aziraphale. *facefloors* /Too/ funny.

(Have you seen the myopic film-bio, "Wilde"? Bosie and the rent boy crew make their modern appearances there, and I wondered. ^^)

I liked the writing here--good approximation of the style, very on-target in spots. I'd be more careful with some of the footnotes, though.

All in all, a lovely read that I'm going to be laughing about for quite a bit.

Brilliant stuff! It really made me laugh- not necessarily a good thing when you're in a lesson, pretending to work, but oh well. I think, just as long as you don't involve Wilde too muich in the story- which you didn't- then using a real person's name should be fine. I couldn't help but giggle at "Bad Aziraphale, no biscuit." Keep updating- I look forward to reading more!

No criticism to offer.

Just update and I'll be happy.

Very nice writing style, by the way, and I adore your Aziraphale.

Hello again! Sorry for not replying to your e-mail. I've been taking a Japanese class at my local university for the past six weeks, and consequently haven't checked my e-mail in about that long. @.@ Never, never, do that, especially if you're on as many mailing lists as I am. I still haven't been able to force myself to go through all the stuff sitting in my inbox. XP Where has my summer gone ...? ::sniffle::

To answer your question about Oscar Wilde (and I can see why you asked, after this chapter), I am very interested in learning more about him, as he is one of the more well-known gay historical figures, but I don't know much about him now. (Actually, I think the only thing I've read by him is a collection of fairy tales ... You know 'The Happy Prince and Other Stories'? That one ...) ^^; I know. It's unforgivable. ::hides in a corner and whimpers:: I keep meaning to check out a biography or something (I work in a library, for goodness' sake), but I always have loads of other stuff I'm busy with, and so I never do. I feel like I just used way too many run-on sentences. Am I being long-winded, or is it all in my head? ::sighes::

Sorry this reply took so long. I'm very bad at going back to pieces of unfinished fanfiction that I liked and reading them once they're updated. Author Alerts is useful in that respect, but only if you check your e-mail ... ^^;; Well, nice to talk to you. Er. Type at you, anyway. I'll try to be a bit more on top of things the next time you update. ^^ See you then!

Hey I really liked this. Is this gonna be slash? I hope so all the best fics are. I was wondering if you could help me. I have a quote here that I am assured comes from an oscar wilde book/play but I want to know which one.

The quote is "Yet each man kills the thing he loves, By each let this be heard, Some do it with a bitter look, Some with a flattering word. The coward does it with a kiss, The brave man with a sword! " I was just wondering if you know which it is, could you email me and let me know. My email is on my biography page. If you like Harry Potter you should check out my fics there not nearly as good as this one though. You should write more I really really like it.
