Wow that story is really great, so powerful, full of emotions and feelings. It made me smile. I hope I will read more.

I liked that little story with the two perspectives. One little quibble I would have is the use of the word 'damn' in the first chapter. It is does not fit Tolkien's work, even AU, very well (although I can see why you use it) Perhaps you can find another way of conveying the same?
