Wow

You know, in all my browsing I must have missed the Bible fanfiction entries. Who woulda thunk? This was really great, by the by. It's a real thought provoker.

We are all weak, myself included. But what of our purpose? Some faiths teach (after a fashion) that our purpose is to glorify God on earth. Others teach that our purpose is to do good works. Me? I don't know either. But I think the darkness is in us all and it makes us appreciate the light that we do have when it shows.

People can call you a saint even though you don't feel like one. But you know the ones who seem so perfect? They're just like you and me, only they aren't brave enough to put it on paper.

Wel... humans were created to know, love and serve their Creator. That is why He created us. We could know Him and serve Him without free will, but He gave us free will so that we could love Him, above all else. How do we show our love for Him? We do His will, to the best of our ability.
That is why we humans exist.

This is very interesting. Insightful in fact and frighteningly how I feel. At least it feels better knowing I'm not the only one that feels like this. I hope you'll be writing more to this though. Calling it part 1 sort of demands that you make a part 2 ^ ^

Hi! I don't know what possessed me to read Bible fanfics, but I did. I am a Christian. Episcapalien if you want to be specific. (Can't spell, too tired). Anyway, I like your story. I believe that God is real. Some of my thoughts differ with the Bible though. I believe God wants us to be happy, not really to be feared. I think people who don't believe in God aren't in the dark, God isn't real to them. He is there if you believe in him, however you believe in him. Some things in the Bible are outrageous to me. Like Lott, this loyal follower of God, gets chosen to have special guests of God stay in his house. A mob of people stand outside his door wanting to see the visitors. Lott opens the door and begs the crowd to leave. He offers them his virgin daughters to do what they like with, if only they'll leave. It's kind of scary to hear some people claim the Bible is the word of the Lord. God was proud of him for doing this. Another time, a bunch of kids make fun of a faithful servant of God because he is bald, and God sends bears that kill all 42 kids. Scary. So, I was just wondering if your God is a strct interpretation of God, or if he is modifyed at all. If not, I admire your faith and dedication. Have you ever read the Bible? Please answer a curious girl!? I enjoyed your perspective, thought provoking fic.

If you know you have no literary talent, then why do you bother writing fanfictions??

Kishi, do you always think like that or is it merely a late night pondering? I assure you I have thought as you do at one time or another and almost always late at night, lamenting MY lot in life. You seem to think you are unaccomplished at anything. One look at a 90K word story in your profile told me that. I offer encouragement. Yes, it can always get worse. But things, most often as I have found, get better, especially if you keep a positive attitude. I have troubles too meus amicus, but you are not alone in them. And just because you are like everyone else in that respect does not mean life is unoriginal or futile to fight out of. Why fight life? Accept it for what it is and make the best of it? My ex-boyfriend called me a hedonist, but I think there are far worse things in the world that looking from one good thing to another, ne?

Ooh, that's a very promising start to a story! It should be interesting to see this character as he discovers the meaning of life... Keep it up. I really like your tone and diction; they add so much to the story.
