I loved Snape's final response to Voldemort in that round of Q&A regarding his loyalty. Also, the scene between Snape and Potter following the meeting was perfect - no coddling for the clashing Potter!

Lucius, Narcissa and Draco were flawlessly rendered.

I think this may be my favorite Lucius/Snape fic ever.

This is such a wonderful story-- silvery & twisting & always enjoyable. Well done.

I must say I quite enjoyed this story. Quite somber in tone, I like that.

And Sev and Lucius' relationship is believable. And this last chapter, Dumbledore seems really senile, haha.

There are so many light, happy-ever-after HP fanfics, but finding this one, heavy and dark and beautiful...*shrugs* i'm speechless, i can only thank you for writing it, it's like a dying rose, all subtle sweetness and tragic decay, stunning.

This is amazing. I don't know how I missed it til now. Somewhat avant garde in style, it appeals to me on a strong intellectual basis. I see it as a black and while film with each chapter functioning as a short series of related vignettes. I like the use of tea as symbolism and the cat for the same reason.

Please continue this! The writing is excellent, and the images of death and winter are really appropriate. Maybe Snape and Lucius couls have a fairly happy ending? I know its sappy, but...please?
