well, it's probably a bit weird getting a review for this story, considering it's 5 yrs old, but i just wanted to say that it was so... bittersweet, and that I loved it. good job!

This is absolutely amazing.

I am a firm believer that music is the embodiment of the soul...that it makes us feel what nothing else possibly can. So this piece is perfect. It shows everything that music can do... bring back memories both gorgeous and bittersweet, lift the soul, and make us feel everything in the human spectrum.

And if you're a fan of jazz, may I recommend the original Benny Goodman version of "Sing, Sing, Sing"? A full eight minutes and forty seconds of jazzy, swinging goodness.

Oh dear...now i'm going to cry.

That was beautiful. And Remus was so believeable too. Great characterazation.

The last line was perfect. Great ending.

To save your poor eyes from another gut-wretchingly long review from me (I'm sure there have been longer reviews from others in general, though), I'll just write a few simple words--not including this part--that should sum up how I felt about your story.
You made my eyes tear up.

That was awesome except for one thing: it sounded like slash. I'm sorry, but slash disgusts me, especially Remus/Sirius. It would be nice if it could have a warning or something; I was not expecting that.
Okay. With that over with... That was excellent! Um. I don't exactly know what else to say; what do I say besides it was great? I'm not too good with reviews; nothing personal (I don't even know you, so, yeah...). But that was awesome (except for lack of slash warning.)!!

Oh, this is so painstakingly beautiful. It's going on my favourites list.

yeah its my heart breaking...this fic is soo great and soo sad...poor remus AND sirius...

Way to make me sad about Sirius again... I thought I got over that last summer... guess not... Sirius/Remus fics are my obsession this summer and there are a surprising few good ones. Thank you, that was great.

Oh, that was truly beautiful. There are a number of witty, excellent Remus/Sirius fics out there, but I have seldom read anything so achingly lovely and sad. There is something about this story that makes it stand out from the other stories of this ilk.

Oh, was that ever painful.

But in a really, really beautiful way.

First off, perfect characterization of Remus. It was just so incredibly heartbreaking and true to his character and downright wonderful, and wow, I'm babbling on like a bit of an idiot, aren't I? Oops.

I love the idea of the song having a backstory like that; it just fit in so well and now I know that scene will always hold a bit of poignance for me. :) The wedding memory was so beautifully done -- I could just see it perfectly.

'He remembered Padfoot, dear Padfoot who could do anything, even die (though that had once seemed impossible).'

That's such a wonderful line. In a really, really sad way.

And the last sentence was absolutely perfect -- it felt a bit like a film; I could see it so vividly in my mind. There was a thoroughly melancholy sense of closure to it that ended the fic perfectly.

And heartbreakingly, but ya know . . .

Beautiful, beautiful. :)

That was a wonderful line, got me all teary eyed. This was a great story and now I'll never be able to see that scene in PoA without thinking of your story.
