Evenstar Elanor 10/18/04 . chapter 1even before that last line, in my mind, i did not see fire, i saw Fëanor, his fire consuming all those in his path and around him, including his sons. good job. u're always so good. |
erunyauve 6/20/04 . chapter 1Horrifying, but beautiful - I can see the flames around me and feel Amrod's terror and pain. I particularly liked the line regarding the Feanorians' fascination with light: "They have always been like that, moth-like children, always drawn to the light, burning their fragile wings." - I think it makes the title, 'Burnt alive *children*' (rather than 'child') quite appropriate. |
Vana Tuivana 6/19/04 . chapter 1*shivers* Beautiful imagery. The commentary of the brothers is wonderfully, deliciously creepy. Five stars and two thumbs up on this great piece. |
Finch 6/17/04 . chapter 1Excellent vignette. Very good use of the fire imagery. |
