OMG i love it!

Though I dislike giving negative reviews, especially for a completed story, I have to say; I think the ending absolutely sucked.

First of all the entire story struck me as a kind of rigid copy/paste of cannon.

You changed Naruto's childhood, and yet he turned out exactly the same for the most part.

Gaara turned out exactly the same, despite having a surrogate 'brother', something which would probably have pretty significant effects on an orphan.

However the chuunin exams were exactly the same up until you brought in this "Kyuubi summons" shit, which frankly made no sense whatsoever. Primarily because you (A) made it seem as if there were many other bijuu-level demons in some other dimension. This doesn't make much sense in light of the history of the bijuu. Beyond that though you made it so TWO Nine-tailed foxes inexplicably submitted to the will of ONE human who almost certainly can't use all of his power without killing himself anyway, and therefore wouldn't even be close to their equal), and yet it seems as if both of the Kyuubi summons were way weaker than Shukaku (in fact you barely even mention them at all, there's literally more said about summoning them then their actions once actually summoned)

This in itself is ridiculous given that the Kyuubi should be nine times stronger than Shukaku, in total they should be eighteen times stronger and yet they barely get mentioned.

All of that aside, I find the entire story to be pointless. The base idea is, as you said in the summary "What if Naruto had sided with the Sand in the Konoha invasion?"

If you're to be believed the answer is absolutely nothing. There's virtually no change between the result of canon and the result of this story, asides from Orochimaru's death (which wouldn't have even been influenced by Naruto's departure and is completely arbitrary)

This seriously reminds me of stories where Naruto has some uber-bloodline and then essentially ends up being the same bumbling retard as he is in the canon making all the same mistakes and essentially not utilizing any of his extra abilities.

It's like canon...with tasteless icing. And completely boring.

Reading back on what I've said it comes out a bit harsher than what I intended. I would like to compliment you on (A) decent grammar and the like (somewhat of a rarity on ) and (B) actually completing it.

Loved the story. going to the sequel now.
