I know that this story is long old and probably withering in the dust of your thoughts, but I would very much like to see you re-do this story some day, if you ever have the desire to do so. This is not a flame by any means, nor am I trying to say your story was bad, but I honestly feel it does not do your writing justice. You clearly have a way with words and I can only imagine it has gotten better over the years.

There were things in the story that were factually incorrect when it comes to the world Tolkien created, but they were not of a bother to me as this is a fanfiction and you can change what you want, so I will spend no time going over those things.

This story, however, feels more of a rough draft than what it could have truly been. I think by relying as heavily on dialogue and scene from the movies you have not risen to the true potential you have in story-telling. I thoroughly enjoyed the first few chapters and all of the things that came from your imagination. Truly, I was excited when I first started reading. Though, I was a bit disappointed on how little you strayed from the moves. I felt, at times, I was just reading a condensed version of the films.

I think that with a little more imagination and detail, you could have written a far superior story that still followed the plot of the movies but not relied so heavily on it. I would have very much liked to see more detail, more interaction between characters, more in-depth look into the characters minds and more development in Aragorn's and Legolas's relationship. At times, it felt as if we truly did not know as much about them as we should have. I also thought that parts were rushed as the passing of time was not always very clear. During the time Aragorn and Legolas were apart did not feel as long and suffering as the story was trying to portray.

There were many opportunities for passion, love, longing, despair, doubt, bravery and learning that were never fully realized and delved in to.

In essence, this feels just a taste of what this really could have been. You are obviously very skilled and I was glad to finally stumble across a story in the LoTR fandom that I read in its entirety and enjoyed immensely. I just think that it could have been more than just 'great.' It could have been magnificent. As I said, your beginning chapters were just amazing, it was only when you started to imitate that films with little of your own writing in between that the story started to diminish a little.

I do hope that you do not take this as a slight towards you, because as I've said, I respect your writing abilities. You have gorgeous flow and excellent description when you are not bound by pre-written scripts and scenes. Let yourself shine next time.

I love the Aragorn/Legolas pairing and this is one of my favourite stories. Its so well written.

You know what I just realized?

This is gonna get really fucking sad once it gets to the part when Aragorn 'dies' (you know from "Two Towers" when he falls off the cliff).

Oh, yay, I enjoyed this story oh so much! D I'm actually afraid to read the sequel because I don't know how it could be as happy as this, so I'll probably keep my distance. xD

Oh nooooo. We're nearing the part that I left off in the movies! Then I can't continue reading cause I can barely keep up with the plot as it is. xD as in im barely comfortable with names and places and it's hard to visualize people without the movie on my mind. *cough*

Ahaha. Actually, in the movie Aragorn cried out after he kicked the helmet because he broke his toe. the actor, I mean. It was really well done because he was physically in pain. :'D

Anyway. Thankful for this fic because it's helping me remember the movie better without having to watch 4 hours of it. :'D
