Again, I am not quite sure what to say about this, except that it is marvelous...Wonderful, wonderful descriptions. It's such a brief, simple scene, but you've brought so much richly imagined detail to it, so that there is a real sense of weight behind it, somehow.

It's such an exceptional story. I doubt the Master himself had given any thought to beacon keepers, but apparently, they existed. It's fascinating to see how you create a biography for him even within the small space of this fic and make him come alive.

You knew with a Gondor-ian man in it, I just couldn't refuse :). Very nice. Strangely suspenseful, and a bit different with the stark terror that started out the beginning. (And yes, I am trying to be creative with this review instead of just saying "good job")

You're writing is truly beautiful! I've never had much luck coming up with these small, interesting topics, but you do it very well. I hope to see more.
