Aww! That was really cute! It had just the right amount of humor and seriousness. That was so nice of Gojyo and Goku. I think my favorite quote from this story is:

"He might hit me with his fan and grunt some, but it's worth it." -Goku

I laughed out loud when I read that! I'm not quite sure why it's so funny to me, but it is. I also really like:

"You think Hakkai's gonna smile if he sees you swimming around in the street? Actually, it might work." -Goku

I love the way you kept them so in-character! Goku and Gojyo would never do something together without arguing somehow, and the way you did it was so realistic! Without a doubt, this is one of the best stories I've read in a long time!

I'm in a mood to be *very* sympathetic to Hakkai's failure of self-control. This isn't bittersweet, exactly, this rueful acknowledgement that even the best things can just come at the wrong times. Nice. Now that he's alert, he'll probably read the book somewhere conspicuous, too, like a thoughtful Hakkai. I also notice that, even though he enjoyed the pie, even though Goku also went out in the rain, it was Gojyo's efforts that struck home with him. ^.^
