Loved the lines Don't you know who this is? " he whispered roughly.

" Bloody precocious brat? "
Cause thats what Sirius is... Really funny and Peter does need to learn when to shut up

Oh, wow. Oh...*looks speechless* That was THE best Sirius/family problems/confrontation piece I've ever read...you have Sirius and James down completely, I swear I could hear them talking beside me. The bookshop section is really the best, and its great to see how the rest of the Marauders each react differently to the power of a family name. Great job!

Thoughtful, persuasive insight into how the Marauders mastered the Animagus transformation - and how Peter felt about powerful friends. Excellent stuff.

This story is incredibly powerful. I've never read anything quite like it. I had never even though of any of this; the influence of names, certainly, but I'd never, for some silly reason, connected it with Sirius and his family. You've portrayed Sirius in a much more realistic way than many people I've seen. He's not as arrogant, as careless as many people portray him to be, much more like J.K.'s Sirius.

In other words, I absolutely LOVE this. It really, really moved me in ways I'm still figuring out. It's really inspired me for the stories I'm writing right now. Thank you!

With much respect,

So bloody awesome. Actually, the best part was Sirius. Few others are willing to venture into these sides of Sirius, but you did so and terrifically. This is going on favorite stories.

Hm...nice little insight into Peter. Only nitpicky thing is that James is a Chaser, not Seeker, and Sirius's eyes are gray, not blue. And that last line was great!

Oh, I liked your story! I could see everything that happened very clearly, right down to how Sirius walked. I liked how Sirius handled the guy at the bookstore with such confidence and how scared the guy was of him. Poor Sirius, though, I can see how he doesn't like to be judged just by his last name. I really liked this story, it had great characterization, even if Sirius was a bit harsh at times. :D

You know, there are too many things I absolutely loved about this story to try to sort them out properly. But I'll try.

1) The characterization of the four. Remus the mediator. (Well, not quite *mediator* but the go-between guy. Can't think of the name.) James, the brave but sheltered. (He seems to mostly get Knockturn, but jnot the full implications. Like when he almost turned back learning it wasn't quite legal.) Peter the scared and naive. And interested. (But not a whimpering, despicable wuss. The reader could understand all too well his fears.) Sirius the pureblood. Who's not above using his family to get what he wants, even if he hates everything his family and everything they stand for, and seems to hate himself for using his family to get what he wants. (It was a very close tie, but in the end I liked your Sirius the best, your Peter second.)

2) The James/Sirius dynamic. Not slash, not romantic, but deep, deep friendship. Although James did not have a heavy presence in this story, there were a few touches that made him prominant regardless. Such as the line, "'James'll sort [Sirius] out,' Remus said." Or James' reasonings for why they went to Knockturn in the first place.

3) The paragraph:
It was obvious that Sirius' jubilant mood had not survived the transaction in Bratler's. His long-legged stride was carrying him rapidly down the alley, black robes flying around him. James exchanged a worried look with Remus then ran to catch up with him. Remus sighed, caught hold of Peter and did his best to run after them.

4) The last line.
