I decided, after reading your Alas for Impropriety story to look at your other stories, and you have written many Wicked fics obviously, and ones that aren't slash. This was really good, by the way, but that's not what I'm writing for. I'm actually writing a request. Could you write a non-slash story that centers around Elphaba and Glinda that's kind of long? Please? puhleze? *I can do this for hours* please...

Wow. That is really all there is to say. (I'm using a friend's screen name to write this, by the way.) I've always thought Wicked bookverse fics always seemed to turn Elphaba magically into this caring, emotional, person when she died. I love your version of it. The part about the story not being over, yet she is dying anyway, as well as the part about the kings and officals making extraordinary speeches at their death. You really captured this character. (Please excuse the scattered, disorganized review, but it's late at night.)

Lovely. It's certainly an interesting way to work in the end of the original. I like that you included "the Scarecrow empty" -- the crowning achievement in a long list of failures, at least in her own head.

And if it's any comfort to Elphaba, I think more people remember "What a world, what a world" than the last words of kings.

Ah, I've read Wicked, and I own and love the CD musical version of it (although Phantom of the Opera is still my favorite ;)). I loved this, and it is going under my favorite stories list. Perfect. Nothing else can be said, but 'perfect'. :-) Keep up the great work! I hope to read more Wicked fics of yours!

i really really really liked it... i do have to say i only read it because i wanted to flame it, due to the fact that according to the book when elphaba died she did not have her life flash before her eyes and instead had the lives of others flash before her lives, the lives of people she had touched. And truthfully i really do like the way elphaba died in the end better but not because i think it was better, no, i think these two were equally good ways when she died on what went through her head, but i believe that Maguire just did his more tastefully. yours could have been equal to it if it had just been done with more to it, im not saying yours was lacking in any way, im just saying that macguires ending was very very very well done... mind you im not sure if this is what others think im just saying by what i got from the book, i truely loved the mental ending in elphabas head that the book had
