clh 7/13/08 . chapter 1 aww, I wanna cry :( |
Evenstar Elanor 10/18/04 . chapter 1wow.. great job. "they do not truly look at reality, but beyond. They are always searching something, someone. I know who it is you seek ; I saw you depart, on that terrible day, and I saw you come back, long afterwards. There always are two dead children walking in your steps, and you always look for them." |
Nol 7/6/04 . chapter 1This is beautiful work, Neld. Very warrior-like and poetic in its rhythms, at least in the first half - fantastic parallel, wolves calling to wolves! - and the ironic, hapless insight of the last. Maedhros doesn't really deserve pity, but I think, in many ways, to understand him, or interpret him, the way your unknown soldier does, is simply to feel for him, and the burdens he bears. Great work, thanks for writing this! |
Elfique 7/5/04 . chapter 1"There always are two dead children walking in your steps, and you always look for them." I loved that line and the last bit...very powerful, good job :) |
