great story! but i didnt like the portrayal of dumbledore- he seemed really manipulative. anyways great job!

wow this story was amazing. one of the best fan fics ive read of the months leading to the betrayal. the characters were realistic. if it wasnt a fanfic i would of believed Jk wrote it herself great job

Wonderful, absolutely and completely fabulous, this story is. Your portrayals of the characters were fantastic, realistic, and believable. And I LOVED your Dumbledore. It really worked well in this story.

Although, I *do* wish the Sirius and Peter confrontation had been told.

This was a wonderful take on the last couple of years in James' life. It's not often you see a James PoV story (and he's on of my favorite characters, if not my favorite) and you wrote him wonderfully. I especially loved how he held Sirius' "leash" and the last chapter, where he "sic'd" Sirius on Peter. Wonderful job.

This story is so beautiful, I just thought I'd let you know how much I absolutely enjoyed it. Positively fantastic.

My God, that was HEART-BREAKING! I loved the insight into their lives, even if it was laden with suspicion and hurt. Very interesting view on Sirius, and one of the most accurate so far. It fits in almost perfectly with J.K.Rowling's Padfoot - the man with a temper he strives to keep under control, a fierce loyalty to James and his family, and that rougish, somewhat dark, independence. I am so checking out the rest of your stories!

Loved it. Great fic. As I was reading the last few chapters, I kept thinking how the entire story would be different if certain details were changed - obviously the whole Secret Keeper bit, but what if Sirius had taken Harry, or if he had just told Hagrid that Peter was the Secret Keeper? Anyway, great job and thank you for sharing the story with us!

Absolutely wonderful! You did it just right - brought a tear to my eye and left me wanting more, but it was a good way to end it. We had to see Sirius' reaction to their deaths since the entire story was about his friendship with James.
I love how you wrote James' role in the epilogue. It makes it more believable when Sirius willingly gives Harry to Hagrid.
I hope you continue to create stories as wonderful as this one.
