Thanks to all who have left reviews for the Staff of Orkney. I wrote this almost ten years ago when I was in college and had a blessed amount of time on my hands. I regret I never finished the series. Part of the reason for this was 1. I graduated from college and found myself with a job and less time on my hands 2. J.K. Rowling began writing again and I felt that the need for fiction continuing her story while she took that long hiatus between books 4 and 5 were not so much needed anymore and 3. I came up with an original story that consumed what time I did have.

Thank you again to all who were so supportive. The Harry Potter series will always have a place in my heart and while you may be disappointed I never finished the fan fiction series, you have much better now with Half Blood Prince and The Deathly Hallows. Slante!

Snape got a new history. Besides that this is a bit confusing, it's a very good story.

I really liked your story. I was disapointed with the ending. I know you were were writing a sequel, but you didn't conclude this story in a logical manner. It just sort of ended. I'm not sure if you'll get this review as it seems you haven't written anything in years. I hope you have kept up your writing in some manner as you have a talent that you shouldn't waste.

Weh! I almost had a heart attack! There I was, happily reading along this (Awesome) story and I see that 20 is the last chapter! Thankfully I caught the note at the end and am still alive to leave this review. I love your story. Erm...Very good OC and super duper plot line!

good story!

I will admit at the first few chapters I wasn’t sure I would like this story. But near the middle I got drawn in and it held me till the very end. I can’t wait to see where it goes from here in the sequel. ZLB

Wow, that was good. The tension and ambivalence of the characters heightened the plot to an almost profssional level. There were a few things I noticed that could be improved or explained, but by the end of the story you don't really think about them. For instance, what happened to LeSal's firebolt? Harry had it when he entered the Great Hall, but after he slipped in the blood it was never mentioned again. This bothered me for the first three chapters after it occurred, but by the end of the story it wasn't important; I had been completely swept away by the story. Great job. I look forward to reading your other works.

one of the beter novel length stories i've read. you didn't try to create some aweful deus ex machina by giving harry some rare power or something. beleivable characters, too. i'm bummed about lesal, though. i liked him. did you ever finish death eaters rebellion somewhere? did he make an appearance? i'd be mad at you for killing dumbledore, if i hadn't become resigned to him dying in hbp.
