I couldn't believe it when Angel broke up with Buffy because of what Joyce said, you're right it wasn't the same after he left the show (sniff) ;) That's how the episode SHOULD have went I think. I was wondering if you were going to do any more parts to it (what happened after) or if it was just a one-parter? Anyway, great fic!
Jeniffer 2004-07-06 ch 1, anon.	abuseI think Joyce was a terrific mom. I don't see how you can't agree with her. If your only daughter, your only family because you don't have your husband, you will want to look after her and into her best interests. Buffy kept this huge secret from her, she found out her daughter had died before. She's a good mom for having that talk with Angel, going over to his house and saying those things to him took guts. If a guy raped my just barely 17 year old daughter I would have never ever let him date her, it was after all statuary rape. I think Angel was also set on going he knew Buffy wanted a normal life and he couldn't give her one. He also knew the PTB hadn't brought him back to be Buffy's lap dog, he needed to start his own thing up away from Buffy, because she often clouded his judgement. In the end ANGEL not Joyce decided Angel would leave. This story is a ridiculous piece of fiction. There is absolutely no reason for it to be posted. I think that Buffy would have chosen to save Joyce or Dawn a thousand times over Angel. So that's it.
