I think so too. I do enjoy this and I've always wondered if Futch became friends with Riou. He seems to be more friendlier to Mcdohl so it's possible.

It's really nice. I think you have it right on Viktor not knowing Futch very much. Futch comes into the Liberation Army in Suikoden 1 till about a couple wars from the end.
