I can see it working (Plus the West Highland Terrier is one of my favourite types of dog, so there’s another bonus.) that said, it might’ve been more apt if you made it an animal that was in canon… like the old Batdog Ace, or something, but what the hey, this rocked anyway. :) and considering the scenario, you have the characterisations pretty much down, also like your titular allusions to General Custer. “Alfred stood up, looked across at the sagging cheeks and pitiful look on Dick‘s face, glanced back at Bruce and muttered, "Good luck." Poor Alfred… this is one of those “I refuse to be made a part of this” moments, and a cute look from Dick would probably melt solid rock… “"Look, Bruce. She loves me," Dick pointed out, lifting the puppy to his face. Instantly, it began to lick his nose. “ Yes, I shall learn to draw Dick. And I shall draw this bit ^_^ |

If there were any strange spellings or grammar or anything else due to your being Australian, I didn't notice them, and they certainly didn't interfere with the enjoyment of the story. So anyway, I'm glad Dick has a puppy, and you had a great way of writing the getting of it. Good job! |
