I love this story. It's so sweet and *real* in a way that I find rare, with cute seemingly random moments. You do a wonderful Blink and your characterization is incredible, for both Blink and Mush.

I like this... very cute. And such a good, happy ending!

I loved it. This is the first Newsies slash I've read for months, and I made sure it was one of yours. I wanted my first in so long to be perfect. It was very special to me.

Hrm. For some very odd reason nothing came up for chapter two. It was blank. I tried several times on different computers (that's how desperate I was to read it). Hrm and double hrm.

Well, I will attempt to review chapter 3 somewhat intelligently, even though I am very much pouting.

The character of the grandfather was so, for lack of better word, "grandfatherly." Saying words of encouragement that really don't seem to do more than state the obvious, but are from a very honest and caring place.

Mush got beat up?! Ack! Damn, why won't chapter two load?!

"His father looked at him seriously..."

I think this was supposed to be grandfather? It's just because I'm so fixated on your grandfather character that I noticed :0)

Aw...Cutes all the way. I'm glad it worked out for them. Blink figured out a way to be himself and was quite gutsy in the process. Wonderful characterizations.

As a rule, I generally don't read modern day fic...but I have had to make an exception: Your modern day fiction is so wonderful.It all started when I was looking for something quality to read...so, of course, I just went to your page and began re-reading and then, when I could re-read no more and still needed a fix of B goodness, I clicked on this story.

I started reading and I could not stop. The storyline was compelling and your characterizations were top. The balance of dialogue and narration were perfect for the pace of the story. I really got a sense of Blink's inner struggle with himself and how Micheal brings it all to the surface for him.

And, as a Red Sox fan coming from a long line of Red Sox fans, I have to say I didn't mind the Yankee-centricity ;0) That's how well you write, you can make *anything* good...even the Yankees. Just kidding, of course ;0)

That was amazing! Believe it or not, I somehow followed a link and ended up at this story. I just recently saw the Newsies, and kinda went after the Jack/Davey pairing, and this is the first different one I've read! Somehow I have to get my hands on that movie again, because I fell in love with the characters and I don't even remember what they look like! Well, I kinda remember Kid once I realized he's the guy with the patch...but that's how good your story was! ^_^

Seriously, you should like... change the names and try to get that published or something, because it's really an awesome short story. I am so jealous, because I'm incapable of writing good short stories. If I write a good story, it doesn't take much for it to become 100 pages long.
