 The Fuzy Llama 2007-10-10 . chapter 37YAY! ANOTHER CHAPTER!! :) I can't imagine how you will fit Lucinda into Chain of Memories. Or maybe she'll end up going with Riku on the other side of the door? It seems like that without Ansem, Riku is all she has left to fight for, and she wouldn't want to lose him again, even if it means jumping into a sea of darkness. But at that point, Trigger would probably be too injured to survive it, so she would convince him to stay back with Sora. Or maybe they would be separated because Lucinda just barely got through as the door was closing and Trigger got left on the other side. Riku obviously would be freaking out. "What on earth did you just do?! You can't..." "I'm not going to lose you again...! We'll met the others again; I know we will." And her calm determination would convince him, and they with King Mickey would face the heartless together, or something like that. It would work out. ^_^;
Then, Sora, Trigger, Goofy, and Donald would be looking for Riku, Lucinda, and the King, but they would end up in Castle Oblivion where their memories would be wiped out little by little and maybe Trigger would even forget Lucinda... Unless because he is a heartless he wouldn't be affected and he would be freaked out by Sora, Donald, and Goofy's forgetfulness, so the Organization would want to exterminate him to keep him from ruining their plans...
Or maybe because Trigger has half a heart, that half would be affected and still lose memories, so there would be the unexpected result that the Heartless part of Trigger would become savage as his memories were taken. As time went on, Sora and the rest would forget how they had even met Trigger, but they would still keep him as part of their party, if only because he reminded Sora of a vague feeling from a long time ago that once Sora had been like Trigger was and that for some reason they couldn't leave him. Without realising the full effect, the Organization would continue removing Trigger's memories (perhaps even out of curiosity) until Trigger lost his sense of self and viciously broke from the party, roaming free through the castle with only his heartless instincts to guide him. The Organization would probably have all memory of Trigger taken from Sora, Donald, and Goofy, because he had been too strong a reminder of what had occured at Hollow Bastian.
...and meanwhile Lucinda would be traveling with Riku through the castle's underground. hm... I never played CoM all the way through, but it would be interesting if they had a fight over something, probably something silly but where hard words are exchanged on both sides, so for a little while they go their seperate ways. Riku would probably be angry, which would make the darkness in his heart stronger and harder to control *read: temporary distraction*. Lucinda probably would be crying, and she'd hear someone coming behind her. She sees "Riku" but it is really the Riku clone. "Riku...?" "You think I'm that weak-hearted fool?" Her eyes would harden. "What have you done with the real Riku?" He becomes angry. "I'm more real than he ever was! ...And besides," his mouth twists into a sick smile that shows very clearly how different this Riku is from the real one (or perhaps reminds her of when Riku had been taken over by Ansem), "rather than worrying about him, you should be worried about yourself." The gleam in his eye coupled with that sick smile gives the Riku clone a crazed look as he draws out his keyblade.
Then the real Riku, or perhaps even Trigger would come to save her, but if it were Trigger, he would not be the same. Seeing her might drag up some sort of memory, like a feeling of warmth and safety or a strong desire to protect. He would defend her against clone Riku, who would teleport out, but she would try to hug Trigger and he would scratch her with his claws. She would realise something terrible had happened to him. Then Riku would come in, sweating from a heartless battle because he had nearly been overpowered by the darkness. He would see Lucinda sitting on the ground with Trigger nearby and everything would seem normal. Seeing Lucinda's eyes red and puffy would fill him with a surge of guilt, because he'd know she had been crying. Immediately, Lucinda would interegate him. "Are you really Riku?!" "Who else would I be?" he'd say, wiping a bit of sweat off his brow. He'd play calm and collected but inwardly wonder if she knew just how close he'd been to being overtaken by the darkness. "Say something only Riku would know!" ... *insert cute moment here* "It really is you! What happened? There's someone who tried to fight me who looked like your twin!" Riku twitches inwardly '...I have an evil twin?' "And Trigger came and helped me fight him off, but Trigger! There's something really wrong with him!" Tears would pour down her cheeks. Then Riku's brain would flip into overdrive. 'Waitaminute! If Trigger is here then -he- must be here too! (**flash* spiked brown hair *flash* goofy blue-eyed grin *flash* racing on the beach, gasping for breath, final push for the finish!**) Sora must be here, too!' His eyes would widen. Then the strange hissing sound from Trigger would bring the rest of Lucinda's words to sparkling clarity. 'If Trigger is like this, then what could have happened to Sora?' Something here was very, very wrong.
omg, super long review. *deep breath* lol, I've practically written a fanfiction to a fanfiction. Thank you so much; that was a lot of fun! (although I don't even know if all that can count for a real review)XD But now that I think of it, you said something somewhere in a chapter about turning Trigger into a human, so I guess that can't be included in, but, oh, well, fanfictions don't have to get all the details right. :p I can't wait to see how you'll pull off this finish! I really felt for Sora near the end of the game and you've brought that part to life, which makes me happy... and sad at the same time. Of course he would have been crushed to see what was left of his island home. At least he's guaranteed a happy ending... sort of. It probably was hard for him to be taken from Kairi again, but if it was, he hid it behind a smile and a mountain's worth of high hopes. Sora is like that. Like the lyrics to a song I heard once. "Just put on your brave face; they'll never know you lied." But anyway, enough rambling... I look forward to the conclusion of your story. ^_^ |
