Wish I knew how to describe what it is that makes this so good...but if I knew, I'd probably be a writer myself instead of just a reader. XD But it was quite excellent, and so touching. Ugh, this was utterly heart-wrenching and heart-warming at the very same time. This is by far, the most captivating and well-written Harry Potter fan fiction I've ever read, hands down, and I mean that with all sincerity. At first, I considered it the best Snape-as-Harry's father story, but no, I really feel like that needed to be ammended.

The way you wrote this had me enthralled from the very beginning of 'Mine'. Your writing is perfectly descriptive, humourous and so reminiscent of JK Rowling in its own manner. It was different than her style, certainly, but a very comorting one that, pardon the melodrama, left me a bit breathless at times.

I've honestly never enjoyed a fan fiction as much as I enjoyed this series, and despite it being many years old, were you ever to continue, I would certainly read on. However, I quite understand and would be at peace with the point where you left off; and the standalone with the alternate reality was simply fascinating.

Harry was so perfectly innocent and charming, but so desperate for love... it made my heart ache. He was the most lovable little boy, but also the most broken one, and the manner in which you wrote Snape made him the perfect father to fix that broken little boy.
