great story so far, especially seeing Daniel on an actual earth-based dig site! :D

I feel the need to review, but I don't know what to say. It was amazing. I'm going to find this sequel of which you speak.

I've actually read through both Bushido and Shidachi several times. I admit that the true angst and three-dimensional emotions that you put Daniel through are well thought out and intense. I do look forward to when you have time to complete the third installment of this series. I'm not much of an AU fan, but you've got the characterizations nailed down, and that is what I really look for when reading.

Very enjoyable, it's nice to see a Daniel who knows how to take care of himself. I feel a bit bad about the circumstances that forced him to this though. There were some very depressing moments. Luckily everything seems to be on the verge of straightening itself out.

o, cool story! The depths explored her were awesome, as is Daniel's skills in katana and the teachings of Bushido. real cool.

I'm ** that you took Daniel away from the SGC. Heck, I got ** at the show when they promoted Jack and split up SG-1. It is my firm belief that Jack would agree to become a host if it meant that he could save Danny. Daniel just means that much to him.

LOL. yes of course that website would say that. But archeology and the interpretation of finds are two entirely different things. That Daniel has to take short cuts with either in his SG-1 work is logical, but normally a find can lead to at least half a dozen possible interpretations :)

Good job on doing the research though! Makes the story all the more believable.

I never realized this the first time I read through this story, but Jack is surprised in this chapter to find out that Daniel went to Ein Gedi, yet in a previous chapter, when Jack goes to Dannys house, Danny says point blank to Jack he's going to Ein Gedi. Just an fyi.

This piece of fiction has had a great deal of time, care, and love put into it-- it shows. And that's why I love it.
There was no rush to have the entirety of the dig at Ein Gedi catalogued, translated and wrapped up by lunchtime. He didn't have to scramble, take shortcuts, and generally practice sloppy archaeology in search for the quick resolution.

I hope this chapter explains why Daniel had to kill Senichi. I got the sense that a few people were shocked by this, and I angst-ed over it for a while before I decided to commit to a particular course of action.
I took it as a matter of "duh" when I read the *awesome* action sequence. Decapitation is always icky, but cool. I had to do the icky dance for a bit, lol. I adore how you get into heads, and I like the story *a lot.* You Lembas7-san, have been *bookmarked*.

Excellent story! I enjoyed every minute of it and now I have a sequel to read too. I do hope you write more SG-1 stories as I love what you have written so far. And as you said, we are proficient in our feedback... hint, hint! :D

I must admit, I wasn't too sure about this fic at first. I read the description and thought "yeah, Daniel is secretly some super sword fighting guy. Uh-huh. Somehow durring his highly mobile childhood he found a teacher, and learned to fight, but was a total science geek with no field skills whatsoever when he joined the stargate program. Plot hole anyone?" But I was a bit borred, and the description was seen while searching someone's favorites list, so I decided to give it a try. The first chapter was well written, so I decided to read a bit more. I'll admit to having read a few good fics that began with some glaring plot hole, but had been suprisingly good. By the end of this chapter, I was happy to find that you had laid out a perfectly reasonable explanation that neatly explained everything in a believable and reasonable manner. I look forward to reading the rest of this fic. It isn't often a fic with more than ten chapters inspires me to review by the second chapter, but your neat handling of a very significant potential plot hole was wonderful. I'm off to read more now, bye!
