I added this story to my Favourites list almost as soon as I signed up, but until now, I had forgotten to review. Whether or not you still do Fan Fiction, I wanted to tell you what I thought of this.

I've always loved Disney's version of The Little Mermaid, and I agree with a previous reviewer who said the original was depressing. I definitely prefer the movie.

I have also loved DBZ for like, ages. I am quite firm when it comes to keeping the original pairings as often as possible. I wasn't sure whether I'd like this when I first found it, but my opinion changed almost as soon as I began to read. It might sound a little cheesy, but I was enchanted. I always thought Goku could sing if he tried, and casting him as the main character in this story cemented that belief.

I also loved the way you incorperated elements from DBZ into the Disney story we all know and love. Frieza and Cooler were deserving of a cameo appearance; they are among the most frightening villains I've encountered in all my years of reading and watching Fantasy.

I would like to see a sequel, although I don't know whether you still write for this site. If you did, I recommend you move it along a few years from the movie, so that Gohan is fifteen or so, and that way, Goten and Trunks could feature as well. And as for Babidi's brother, perhaps Bibidi ii would serve for his name. Just a suggestion. Sometimes OC's are necessary. I should know; I'm doing a fairytale retelling in another of my favourite fandoms right now, and I've had to come up with a couple to make it flow better.

Thank you once again for such a clever adaptation. I have yet to find a story to match it in originality and skilful execution. Whatever you are currently doing, I wish you success.

I have to admit, I thought it was a little strange at first, but it wasn't long before I was immersed in this fic, just as I have been with all your other stories. You truly are a talented writer and gifted storyteler. You have a unique style that distinguishes you from the average fanfic writer. I truly enjoyed reading this story, and half-way wished there had been more when I was finished. I am simply awed by your fantastic stories and spectacular writing abilities. Excellent work!

I AM SUCH A DISNEY FREAK AND HAVE BEEN FOR MY ENTIRE LIFE! This. . . was a masterpiece. I can't stop myself from grinning ear to ear in giddy-ness. I loved that Bulma was a mermaid in the end, too. It was all so wonderful and such an enjoyable late night summer read. I shall now go to bed listening to my 40 greatest hits Disney CD.

This fic was SO much fun! I love DBZ versions of fairy tales (glad you used the Disney version of Little Mermaid though, the original fairy tale is *depressing*!). You matched the DBZ characters to the LM characters perfectly (Yajirobe as the chef and Piccolo as the lobster were probably the most hilarious). The various colors of the mermen’s tails were a great touch (too bad Goku had to lose his lovely orange and blue striped tail, though), and the story worked much better with the Z fighters as the merman brothers and Goku as the ‘little merman’ than it would have been if you put the girls as the merpeople– this way it was more original too (plus we get to visualize all the guys swimming around with their shirts off!). And Babidi was great as the villain.

I have to tell you, I’m not exactly fond of the GxCC pairing cause CC really gets on my nerves, but this one was very romantic, and you made Chichi into a very likeable character while still keeping a little of her stubborness and temper. The original parts such as the gifts of seashells worked well, a nice add-on.

It would be a good idea to double-space between your paragraphs though, it makes for a much easier read. Seeing a big block of print or paragraphs crammed together may turn off potential readers.

So many characters included and NO character bashing, that was refreshing– two chapters was a good length, short and sweet– and thank you for NOT using LM song lyrics– lyrics really do not belong in a story– and good fleshing out of the LM story, such as Goku trying to write out his story and learn sign language. I would have liked to see Goku prove his strength and fighting skills to Chichi, but the story still worked without that. All in all, great job, and thank you for writing! Keep it up!
