I have to disagree with some of the reviews. This would not make Kenshin into the Batousai again. It would finish him. He would continue on, becuase suicide just isnt in his nature, but I doubt he would really defend himself anymore. Ohters, possibly. Himslef...no. Really good, really sad. Another example of well done tragedy.

This is so sad i love it i always imagined that Kaoru would also die like Tomoe. Not because i hate Kaoru she is one of my favorite characters but because it would make a great story theme. Kaoru dies and Kenshin turns into the Battousai again killing everyone in his path and mourining for his lost love isn't it great! WHY DON'T YOU MAKE THIS INTO A STORY!

Hey! I recognized the lyrics! Hehe! It's Linkin Park's "Easier to Run" right? I was reading halfway when I suddenly noticed the 'rap' part sounded familiar. =P But yes, how painful it was for Kenshin to realize all this in the very last minute. It hurts a lot to know that when you finally thought you could appreciate something, that very thing has to fleet through your fingers and be gone forever. Just when Kenshin knew he could move on with Kaoru, she had to die. In exactly the same manner as Tomoe did. The pain must have been doubly excruciating for Kenshin. *wAils* You torture him too much! *wails away into the distAnce* But good fic, nevertheless!
