And that's a lot for me too say, considering I think Kikyo's character (in the series) is flawed. Great opening! Love it so far. Sometimes people have trouble fitting in description into their work (like me) but you overcame that difficulty expertly.

The only thing that bothered me was the fact that you told readers EVERYTHING about Kikyo in two paragraphs. Your story would flow better if you sprinkled that kind of character introduction throughout the chapter so it flows more naturally.

You are a smart person to understand the complexity of Inuyasha and Kikyou's relationship and not delve upon how Kikyou should "burn in hell for trying to kill Inuyasha"...I will not delve into that subject at the moment, but keep this fic up, I'm eager to see where it goes!!
