And exactly how is it based on actual events?

Heh, must be strange getting a review for a story that you finished so long ago. Well, I figured since you take the time to read my work and express your thoughts on it, I might as well do the same for you.

This is definitly an interesting piece. I like the way it's presented and how well everything flows. This is the only piece I've read where an author uses self-insertion and actually makes it work. It seems that many novice writers attempt to do that and their work usually ends up being really bad. You; however, have pulled it off.

The originality of the storyline also suits you well. I mean, who would've thought of writing a "behind the scenes" sort of story? Another good thing is that anyone could read this piece and understand it without being familiar with the series it's based off of.

Negatives? I personally can't point to any; however, it would have been interesting if you included yourself meeting with Sakaki, Kagura, and the other characters, but the piece is still successful.

Overall, good job. Perhaps you may want to try your hand at creating a story with multiple chapters instead of just one.
Just a thought,

While I'm not familiar with the series this story is based off of, it is never the less an interesting read.
I've personally toyed with the idea of anime characters in the 'real' world although I haven't made a serious attempt at it as yet.
Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks along those lines.

This could have been awful. I mean, this could have just been "ok so i met teh azumanga daioh characters WHEN I WENT TO JAPAN FOR HIGH SCHOOL BECAUSE MY PARENTZ TOOK ME LOLOLOLZ" and just faded into suck.

However, I like how you made this a very mature, focused, and uniquely delivered story. Characters having aged is a common enough thing in Azumanga fanfic, but the fact that they are presented to us in an outsiders' perspective is something that greatly helped draw me in as a reader.

My only complaint is the ending. It can be interpreted as the entire sequence being imagined, it can be interpreted as a one-night stand, it can be interpreted as looking back from one's deathbed... it's not very clear. Unclarity can be good, but this is a bit too open-ended to have dramatic effect. It dwells on confusion and leaves us wondering.

However, this was a wonderful, fresh read and I enjoyed it.

This is such a cute story, and so original too!
It is very well written and Pete's surprise and thoughts toward all of this makes the reader almost feel as if they ARE Pete and that they are meeting the people! ^_^ This is a great story!

This was really unique. I've never read a fanfic like this. Thanks for reviewing my fanfic. I can't believe I overlooked those mistakes I made..

Did that really...? I mean, you met...?
That's just so awesome! Is there more? I mean, as it ends, you're still with Yomi, so there'd better be!

Umm, why are you the main character in this? Did it really happen? Because if it did this is kind of cool, but if it didn't then...it was just okay. This was a bit too short and slightly pointless.

Wow! I would think that meeting the real versions of the manga characters would be amazing! How lucky for you; I'm jealous!

You write very well, though this might not be enough of a fan*fiction* for this site. That said, I greatly enjoyed this and hope the site officials don't take it down! I'm putting it on my Favorite Stories list! Have a good day!

This easily qualifies as one of the most original stories I've ever read on here. Until about the 4th or 5th paragraph, I thought you were giving background information for your story. I mean that as a compliment; saying that the writing is just that natural feeling. I finally realized that what I was reading was indeed the story itself. You have a great deal of talent.

Any chance you might do a follow up on this? Like meeting Sakaki, Kaorin or the teachers, for instance. The places you could take this are infinite, if you so chose. I ask you, no, beg you to expand and continue this.

You also touched upon an idea that I've had for a long time: Azumanga Daioh being based upon real people/events. The characters and situations seem so real in that show that sometimes I think that no one, no matter how much of a genius, could have made them up. I have yet to find definitive proof of this theory, but your story definitely adds to the possibility. Three stars for one of the - if not THE - most original stories I have ever read. It's going on my list of favorites.
