it was sad, but poetic. i loved it, sometimes goodbyes are full of hope. even thought they won't see each other again, it was a worthy fic.

Great! *sob* You know, in TP's books, the only time people die, people that the main chars actually know, are in Alanna: The First Adventure (Francis) and Lioness Rampant (Liam, Faithful). And other people die in the books, like the King and Queen, but TP doesn't actually write about them dying. I suppose that's why she's not as popular an author as John Marsden. Anyways, back to the story. In that second last sentence, it reminded me of American Pie. "The day the music died" "The day the song died". Strange.

So did Daine sensed that Brokefang was gonna die and came up to spend his last day or whatever with him, right? That was a little unclear, but otherwise it was good. Very sad, but very good. One other teensy suggestion: You might want a blank line of text b/w each paragraph; otherwise it gets all clumped together (no offense, but) like yours was. Very nice; keep writing plz.
