sad but nice

i read this once, a while ago, and i didn't like how it started out so i closed the tab and never finished.
a year or so later i stumbled upon it again, and decided to read it through this time. there's got to be a reason for it being in a rec list, right?
so i skip through some parts again, and finish it up.
holy. **.
that is a pretty good summary, i think.
i love the mind** factor (which i haven't seen ONE reviewer mention so far), with draco telling harry that yes, he is a killer. look at how all your friends turned out, after all. dead. and just as he's about to turn him (and i suppose, either rescind the earlier or elaborate on it, more mind**, etc) he dies. and harry is left with draco's last words, which aren't all that conductive to non-suicidal thoughts.
mind**. it is always awesome, and makes for a heartbreaking ending.

(unfortunately, and here comes the complaining, i do not like the fact that we don't know ANY backstory. i realise this is a one-shot, but the only reason i actually felt something was because i knew the characters and paid much more attention to the mind screw rather than the events leading up to it - something i had to force myself to do in lieu of the lack of background.)

oh no. so sad. interesting twist. i really didn't see that coming!

i read this yesterday but didn't review!! Now, i have to tell you this is SO powerful!! Wow!! I really wish this could have been a full out story!! This was an amazing one shot!!

God. I'm at a loss for words right now. I loved this. I must say I didn't expect the ending, but I loved it nonetheless.

I liked ths story. I thought that it was good.

I'm not sure if Draco died, but I wasn't planning for that.

I wanted Harry and Draco to finally be together.

But other than that, I thought that it was a sweet story.

Gorgeous. Simply gorgeous. Instead of the manipulation feeling scary and creepy, it was actually, seductive, I suppose. I enjoyed the reverse pyschology, and how Harry wouldn't give in. Awesome fic!
