terrylove 2005-05-25 ch 1,	abuseI'm ridiculously pleased to find fics about my favourite Weasly that don't revolve around Hermione. You'd be surprised at the ways manage to fit her into every story and make her a half (or third, or...you get the point) of every pairing. not that I mind Hermione, really, but it does get slightly sickeing after a while. I like the way you've portraied Charlie, and also conveyd the feeling of having to settle for something foreign for you, just because someone decides it's for the best. I love how his frustration is uncommented by the narrorator, it makes it even more real. As the fic stands now it's kind of angsty, but since you know that he's eventually going to make it, it becomes more bearable. yay you, in short. and I'd really really really like to se a sequel. I'm normally a sucker for oneshots, really I promise I am, but since you've hinted about a part two for a while now... pretty please? anyway, good luck on your writing, whatever it turns out to be. /terrylove

As usual, a refreshing, interesting new topic. I have a feeling that Ron would probably like to know that it wasn't always sweetness and light at Hogwarts for his perfect big brothers either! Bill and Charlie are so idealized in canon, by Ron looking up to them, by Molly holding him (and the others), by Oliver Wood and his 'since Charlie Weasley,' etc. It will be fun to see Charlie through his own eyes.
