Fabulous! Um... predictions: Ed sacrificed his soul to make the stone. The imperfection in the stone removed Roy's body when he was trying to return Al and himself to their bodies. The three egos Ed keeps seperating into are his human self, his homunculous self, and Roy's soul, which is bound somehow to his.

Oh my god, I love it. The descriptions are perfect, dead on, and the style of writing matched the plot really nicely.

I think this chapter came out well... and I wouldn't blame Ed for sounding insane after all the trauma. Is Ed going to escape? What's going on with Roy!? And you haven't updated this in over a year *dies* but great fic as of yet anyway.

They barely interact at all in the series or the manga (though I'm quite certain you haven't read that).
