I don't hold any hope that you will, but I wish you would make a continuation to this. I can only say I have read less than a handfull of other Slayers fics that are as well thought out and elegently writen as this one. You ended this beautifully and I would love to see what kind of masterpiece you could do if you made a sequel to this. One can only hope ritht? ^.^

This is a great story. Please update! :)

I am surprised by this story, how it turned out, and pleasantly. It was not my most favorite tale from you, at first, but you executed the ending very well. A twist, or two, at the end, providing for a sequel, yet a satisfying felling of completeness, even humor prevaled. You had no rush of expanatory narrative to finish telling the story, you let the characters, in character, act it out and speak their parts.

If I must find something to improve on... it would be this single paragraph:

The battle was one of speed and strength, but still in all the commotion, Zelgadis’ golden sphere was not crushed. It seemed impossible, but it remained untouched, and a marvelous conflict ensued. A fight like this, drawing blood like this, were the things that really made a mazoku feel alive – Zel included. And for Lina, he would do anything.

A little more expansion, perhaps how Zel kept his eye on the sphere, when possible, noting Xelloss took great care to protect it, or something. A tiny detail of how Lina fought, some brave act by Zel, etc...

Thank you for finishing this story, bringing closure to the characters, and letting us read your take on the minds of demons.

There were two parts I especially and in both cases it was how you dealt with Mazouku. First: “There is no creature on this earth more loyal than a fledgling mazoku – that is their only characteristic.”

Second:"No one ever knew when a mazoku might stab you in the back. It was part of what made mazoku politics so bloody – they were all so trigger happy that they couldn’t keep their hands off their weapons (whether psychological or physical) for five minutes straight."

These were brilliant concepts which you could have played up more from the start and then had Zel grow to understand them more deeply with experience.

I look forward to reading the last chapter, and then re-read the series over from the start. I lost the continuity of this story over time, but this latest chapter was superb. --KS
