There's such a severe lack of Shounenai or yaoi fanfiction in the Hana Kimi department (despite there being loads in inuendo in the books) and there are even less that are as good as this! I know you were worried about keeping them in charactor; but you are honestly doing a great job of it! I don't dish out complements (I just don't reveiw if I don't like something) so I'm not just saying that! Heh heh... I love the tone of this fic. It's so different from the light-hearted fluffiness of the original Hana-Kimi story. Hot pairings, too. ^^ You did a good job keeping Umeda and Io in character. Not that I have firsthand experience, but I would guess that Kijima would be harder to write because he appeared in the manga only for a few chapters--which may be a good thing because you can pretty much elaborate on his personality however you want, ne? Or at least within the dubious parameters that Hisaya Nakajo set. Good fic! Keep writing. ^_^

What a lovely fic! :D Io and Kijima? I love the idea. I've just recently got into the fluff that's AkihaxUmeda and I loved how you hit the mark right there when it comes to Akiha. ;) The only thing I disagreed with is Kijima's character, and that I do think he stopped obsessing about Masato by the time they reached adulthood, but with so little being shown about him in Hanakimi, I guess it's really up to readers' interpretations. (I'm always up for a chat about the guy, though. ^_~)

I'll be looking forward to future chapters.
