*Claps loudly* Wonderful! Just wonderful! I love your take on Akito! To tell you the truth, I theorized something like this mid-way through watching the Anime. My sister thought I was nuts to think that Akito deep down was actually just wanting to be actually loved. *sigh* I loved this, though.

It makes me want to write Fanfictions based solely on this version of Akito's past... then just direct people to read this for the back story...

hi, this is a good story. but as you said at the begining it is nothing like the akito in the books. for one thing akito is a woman who's mother insisted before she was born that if the child was a girl it was to be raised as a boy or she would kill the child. needless to say akito's mom is not a loving mother always insisting that the bonds the juunishi have for akito as god are not real and that if they were not there nobody would love akito. akito's dad always told her that she was born to be loved and that she was special. after her dad died and she realized (with her moms help) that she was not born to be loved but to die she became so obssessed with keeping her juunishi tied to her that it consumes almost all of her waking thoughts. add to the fact that when kureno's bond broke she got hysterical and made kureno promise never to leave her and slept with him (when shigure is the one in love with her and her with him) and shigure was so upset that he slept with akito's mom. akito now get hysterical and violent any time one of juunishi falls in love afraid that this means they dont love her and will leave her. ect...

Hi! I found you through Cherry Blossom Artist, which might explain how found and am reading a story you wrote so long ago. (I only tell you this because when people read my ancient works I'm always curious and confused as to how they found them!) I'm an Akito fangirl, so I thought I'd check this out.
I love this story. I love the explanations people came up with before we found out about Ren and all of that stuff. This one was especially interesting...I can definitely imagine Mommy killing herself because of that. How horrible it would be to know your baby was going to die! And I thought Tohru's perspective was just sweetest thing. My only problem is that Akito's part was on the repetitive side...the first half was just background that Sonomi had already explained. But all in all, good job!

This has to be the most amazing display of, I guess you could say "dark writing" I've ever seen. You're descriptions were amazing and this is pretty much exactly how I thought Aktio's life would. It was interesting the way you told Akito's story from three different points of view, and not just his. Excellant job!

Hi, I believe I'm a late-comer to this fic as well (Like, obscenely late, gomen!) But considering I've only discovered the greatness that is Fruits Basket a mere 6 months ago, it's amazing the rate at which I'm making myself catch up. Err. Anyway, I really liked this-when a fic has got excellent grammar and syntax, that makes it all the more enjoyable and worthwhile to read-although we now know Akito's actually a she and everything, but the fact that we have all once perceived her as a man makes it easier to tune it off and just enjoy the story. Although I did search hi and lo for any sign of Shigure in this one-but no sweat! I see you've got more stories lined up; it may be a long time coming but I am going to try to get down to reading them all!

I liked how you wrote in three perspectives. Akito is my favorite character even though i know that many don't like him. But there are more to him than just anger. i hate it how everyone think of him as evil. well i read your other 2 fics also. I like the idea and both fics are great. This one is also good. I was just wondering if The Legacy of The Red Butterfly is going to have a pairing? you don't have to tell me who is in the pairing or pairings, if there are any, i just want to know if any pairing exist at all. keep up the good work.^_^

This is interesting. Though you changed the font for the third point of view at the begging. I wasn’t really surprised who the point of views where from. However, it was written some what well.
